In your essay, discuss the importance of oil and natural gas to Azerbaijan. Using data from the World Bank, discuss several indicators of growth and well-being for Azerbaijan's citizens.
In addition to the reading materials previously posted for Azerbaijan, you may want to consult Chapter 20 in Tietenberg (Development, Poverty, and the Environment) for some short background on economic development.
